Juan Montoya Design Corporation

Juan Montoya Design Corporation is a New York–based firm specializing in residential and contract interior design, with projects throughout the United States and internationally. Founder Juan Montoya was born in Colombia and studied architecture in Bogotá before graduating from Parsons School of Design in New York. After two years of work and study in Paris and Milan, he returned to New York and established his design business. The firm’s portfolio encompasses apartments, penthouses, country residences, resorts, commercial spaces and showhouses.

Montoya’s approach is not tied to a particular style or period. His interiors bring together textures, colors and volumes with careful attention to shadows, scale and spatial quality. Thoughtful placement of objects, often reflecting his interest in different cultures, contributes to rooms characterized by refinement and elegant simplicity. Residential projects include homes in New York, Connecticut, Montana, Miami, Philadelphia and Paris. Resort work extends to Florida, the Dominican Republic and Mexico, while the commercial portfolio includes an executive office and an art gallery in Paris, as well as projects in California and Florida.
